A sculptural jacket defined by layered geometric folding and architectural volume.
The Pia Jacket is part of The Geometry of Feeling collection, where visual art, geometry, and the body intertwine. The garment is constructed from geometric planes rather than conventional tailoring, using an origami-inspired technique that allows the material to form a distinctive three-dimensional silhouette.
The jacket is developed directly on the mannequin without traditional pattern making. Its form emerges through intuitive folding, layering, and spatial exploration of the fabric, resulting in a unique sculptural construction.
Structured layers around the shoulders create a bold architectural presence, while angular folds cascade diagonally across the front and back of the garment. These layered planes form a dynamic composition that changes as the body moves.
Despite its sculptural character, the jacket maintains fluidity and wearability. The open front construction allows the garment to drape naturally around the body, creating a balance between structure and movement.
The material used is waterproof cotton, chosen for its ability to hold shape and emphasize the crisp geometry of folds while remaining comfortable and lightweight.
The silhouette is relaxed and adaptable to different body shapes.
Each piece is one of a kind and handcrafted in Slovenia. The garment is made from deadstock fabric sourced from a textile archive. The Pia Jacket reflects the sustainable philosophy of the
Nika Ravnik brand, combining experimentation, architectural form, and respect for material. The jacket is made of water-repellent lightweight technical polyester with structured architectural folds.
