MAE DRESS

The Mae Dress is part of the LALULI collection, an artistic exploration of the hidden landscapes of human emotion and memory. The collection translates intuitive gestures and subconscious imagery into expressive textile surfaces and sculptural garment forms.

The textile print originates from an original hand-drawn illustration by Nika Ravnik, created with wax crayons. The drawing was enlarged and transferred onto fabric using digital textile printing, transforming spontaneous strokes into a vivid, painterly surface.

The dress features a sculptural asymmetric silhouette with one soft sleeve and an open shoulder on the opposite side. Layered geometric folds cascade across the front, creating movement and architectural structure while maintaining a relaxed fit. The mini length and asymmetrical hemline emphasize the dynamic draping and origami-inspired construction.

The expressive print combines turquoise tones with coral, charcoal, and warm earthy accents, creating a vibrant artistic surface that highlights the garment’s sculptural form.

The fabric is 100% Oeko-Tex certified satin cotton, digitally printed using biodegradable water-based dyes. The garment is developed using the zero-waste design method, reflecting the sustainable philosophy of the Nika Ravnik brand.

Each piece is handcrafted in Slovenia.
