KAORI DRESS

The Kaori Dress is part of the LALULI collection, an exploration of emotional landscapes and inner transformations. Inspired by the energy of dormant feelings awakening beneath the surface, the collection translates memory, intuition, and movement into vibrant color and sculptural textile forms.

The textile print originates from an original hand-drawn illustration by Nika Ravnik, created using wax crayons. The drawing was enlarged and transferred onto fabric through digital printing, transforming spontaneous marks into an expressive, painterly surface.

The dress is constructed through intuitive draping and soft sculptural folding, forming vertical textures that subtly shape the garment and create movement across the body. The relaxed midi silhouette balances fluidity with a gentle architectural presence.

Wide sleeves and softly folded surfaces give the dress a tactile, organic quality, while the vibrant color composition evokes a sense of warmth and emotional intensity.

The runway version shown in the images was created specifically for the fashion show and features contrasting panel elements.

The made-to-order version is produced using a continuous all-over print, where the pattern becomes the primary visual element without the contrasting black and pink hem used on the runway sample.

The fabric is 100% Oeko-Tex certified satin cotton, digitally printed using biodegradable water-based dyes. The garment is developed using the zero-waste design method, reflecting the sustainable philosophy of the Nika Ravnik brand.

Each piece is handcrafted in Slovenia.
