MINA DRESS

An architectural dress built through layered geometric folding.

The Mina Dress is part of The Geometry of Feeling collection, where visual art, geometry, and the body intertwine. Constructed from basic geometric planes without conventional cutting, using an origami technique, the dress develops into a distinctive three-dimensional architectural silhouette based on the zero-waste principle.

The cut is entirely non-repeatable, as the dress is created directly on the mannequin without the use of traditional patterns. The shaping process unfolds intuitively through folding, layering, and spatial exploration of the material.

The material used is waterproof cotton, intentionally selected for its ability to hold form and emphasize the sharpness of geometric lines and layered volumes. Designed in a loose-fit silhouette, the garment adapts to different body shapes.

The Mina Dress can be worn front or back, offering two equally expressive silhouettes.

Through bold folds, layering, and asymmetrical finishes, the fabric transforms into a dynamic sculptural composition. Despite its structural complexity, the dress allows freedom of movement and creates a powerful yet refined presence.

Each piece is one of a kind and handcrafted in Slovenia. The dress is made from deadstock fabric sourced from a textile archive. The Mina Dress reflects the sustainable philosophy of the Nika Ravnik brand, combining sculptural form, experimentation, and respect for material.
The waterproof cotton fabric creates a structured sculptural surface and natural texture that may develop soft creases as part of the garment’s character.
